About Michelle
I recently graduated with a Masters in Early Childhood/Childhood Education from LIU POST. While attending graduate school, I worked at an elementary school as a one to one aide with students of varying needs. I truly enjoy the one to one aspect of teaching a child individually and meeting their specific needs.
I enjoy the authentic teaching relationship when teaching on a one to one level. It is much easier to assess the child and answer questions as they arise instead of the student falling behind.
I got started teaching after graduating undergrad. I began working at an early childhood center and loved all components of teaching.
My years as a one to one side has truly helped me to cater my teaching to the specific needs of a child. I also have different techniques to engage the child in their work.

Before working with a student educationally, I always like to learn a few things about them. For example, their interests and hobbies. I can then get to know what they like and dislike about some subjects and what they may find the easiest and most difficult in school. It is always important a student to feel open to communication.
I have worked with students of varying needs. Some students have had more emotional needs and others had more educational needs. I have also worked with every age group in elementary school.
