About Debbie
I taught 6-8 grade special education for two years. Following that, I taught first through fifth grade special education students for 10 years. The students had a variety of learning disabilities, and I taught all subjects. Then I taught fourth grade (all subjects) regular education for 13 years. At the same time, I tutored a variety of ages after school. My tutoring students ranged from third grade through ninth grade, in addition to an 11th/12th grade student who just went off to college.
at all three schools during my educational career, I held team leader positions as well as lead departmental positions.

I like to visit with the parent(s) first time find out their needs and expectations. Then, I like to jump right in with the student. I typically start with some general conversation to get yo know them a bit and then get right to our first lesson. I monitor and adjust as we go as I continue to learn exactly where the student is and what they're needing.
