About Ola
I have been through many phases of drumming. I started out at 7 old self-taught drummer. Joined college band at high school. Then enrolled for drum classes at 19 yrs old to learn how to read notations. Been playing drums for years. Concerts, recordings and church.
I am currently a drummer at Life Community Church here in Quincy. Feel free to visit if you want to hear me play.
I love seeing the e excitement in my student's face when they first play their favorite tune.
Apart from taking music classes in high school and years of being in the band all through high school, I believe I can relate to learning drums without necessarily having any formal education. I also mostly started learning drums by hearing.

About the lesson

My students first do 10-15 mins of warmups and stickings. Then we alternate between working on beats, reading and scoring a song. This goes on for 30 mins.
We close the class by going over what went well and what needs some improvements and practice tasks against next class.
