I like to teach others the basics of drawing and painting. If they want to learn how to do more figurative/realistic work I think it is imortant to start in black and white, and focus on shape, composition, and hue. In later sessions we can incorperate more color and tonality.
If they want to learn about abstraction- my aproach is to work more inutitively with color, shape, and to focus on value and spacial awareness.
