About Silvana
Silvana Soriano is a visual artist based in Miami. She was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she graduated with a BFA in Art History and Art Education from Bennett University. She furthered her studies at the esteemed School of Visual Arts, in Rio de Janeiro. Silvana started her teaching career at Bennett Universtiy, and has been an educator for over two decades, at public schools in Rio de Janeiro and Miami and with the non-profit Arts4Learning. Silvana expanded her career by working as an illustrator in Brazil, working with different authors and poets. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Brazil, Spain, France, USA and Cuba since 1984. Silvana continues to work with printmaking, illustration, and teaching in Miami today.
I studied printmaking ( Etching, woodcut, screenprint and lithograpH) , painting, drawing and photography on EAV, School of Visual Arts in Brazil , Rio de janeiro . I have a bachelor in art education and I develop my work in different medias.
