About Micah
I love art. Whether it's mine or someone else. I enjoy imparting my knowledge and experience to others and watching them grow as artists.
I love the creative process. I. find it very therapeutic and cathartic. I want to help others find peace of mind from creative expression themselves.
I started teaching at the Boys and Girls Club.
I have a BFA in Fashion Design and illustration. I have studied art therapy at the Herron School of Art & Design. I've worked as a freelance designer and artist for over 15 years. I worked as a youth worker and art instructor for the past five years.

About the lesson

We start by breaking the ice and learning about each other. Than I learn about their goals both personal and as artists. From there I find out where they are as an artist and have them do some base drawings to see their current art skills.
I have worked with mostly youth and adolescents with art and social-emotional learning. I have work with adult art therapy patients as well.
Find someone who you feel comfortable with. The teacher should enjoy teaching and being around other people.
