About Cathy
My work has been carried in fine art & fine craft galleries throughtout the U. S., including the Virgin Islands, Hawaii and Alaska, for over 20 years I work in ceramics, glass, metal and painting. Please see my website for samples of ceramics and paintings. I will be happy to provide photos of jewelry and glass.
I knew I wanted to be an artist from the time I was old enough to hold a crayon and color on the walls. I am so fortunate to have been able to be a self-employed artist my entire life. My career has covered many working mediums: Graphics, fashion, jewelry, glass, painting and ceramics.
I enjoy sharing the knowledge I have gained with others and watching the appreciation for the arts grow.

About the lesson

The first lesson will be at no charge.
If they currently paint, I ask them to bring a painting they have done that they like and the materials they normally work with. That gives me an idea of the level they are painting and the materials they normally use. We talk about the specific things they are having trouble with and the type of things they like to paint.
If they have never painted before, I find out what type of painting they like and we discuss the different types of painting materials and tools to see what direction they want to go.

Perfect! I really enjoyed my lessons with Cathy! I am moving, or I would continue to have her share her expertise with me! She helped me to “loosen up” with my paintings, as well as incorporating textures and colors. Her own artwork is amazing! I’d love to have her talent! I enjoyed painting with her and her animals! 😊

Ceramic private lesson is $44 per hr. including materials.
