About Brendan
My first SCUBA experience was in St Kitts and my very first dive was on a wreck in 2011! Loved it ever since, which is why I am enthusiastic about sharing and teaching SCUBA to people of all ages. When I see the expression in a student’s eyes the moment they realize they are breathing underwater, is priceless to me! My passion has pushed me to continue to garner as many specialties as possible and to dive in as much of worlds waters as I can!
And yes I enjoy all things Pirate!
In the late 80's I training well over 500 people how to use a new computer system I designed for an organization I worked for. This responsibility took my to many places in the world.
I have been teaching people my entire IT career, so I have a strong understanding of how to teach different style. This helps when assessing the students learning strengths. In addition, I am a certified PADI IDC Staff Instructor. I assist in the development and training of Instructor Candidates.

Provide the student with my background story and then I ask the student why do they wish to learn how to scuba dive. This help me tailor the training sessions to the student's desires.
We do the required book work and class time and then off to the pool for 3-4 nights of dive training. Next, we are off to the lake and 2 days of diving and then there is a new Scuba Diver added to the tribe!
I have worked with a wide range of students with varying skill sets. From a zero level understanding of a subject to expert level understanding. I have had the privilege of teaching young children and older adults. I am also a certified Handicap Scuba Instructor.

Fun , Safety first, great dive sites
Brendan was a great instructor. After my courses with him (Open Water and Advanced), I was very prepared. He was patient and made sure I did everything right before he would let me pass. On my first Costa Rica dive outside after our courses, our divemaster commented that I seemed like a more seasoned diver. I told her, my divemaster, Brendan, made sure I was prepared for everything. I would recommend Brendan highly.
Enjoyed traveling and diving with the Irish Pirate!
Brendan was very nice! I actually met him at the airport! He helped me get certified before my wedding so our honeymoon would be my first dive trip!! Listened to all my concerns and stayed by my side when I got scared!! Highly recommended!!
Brendan made it fun and was very encouraging while instructing. He is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain.
