About Laura
Silver Lining School of the Arts, founded in 2002 in Myrtle Beach, SC, is a Christ-centered performing arts school offering dance and music instruction for ages 2 through adult. Founded by Laura Branfuhr, the school emphasizes age-appropriate choreography, modest costuming, and a safe, encouraging environment focused on technical training and faith-based values. Programs include Creative Movement, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Backstage, along with music education in Music Theory, Choir, Piano, Voice, and Acting. Private lessons are available for all ages. Early childhood options include Mommy & Me and babywearing classes beginning at 18 months, with regular classes starting at age 2. Students participate in seasonal performances such as a Spring Showcase. The program has grown from seven students to more than 350 while maintaining its mission to integrate excellence in technique with a faith-based foundation. Scholarships are available through the Sarah Bethany Foundation, and community support helps sustain facility development. Silver Lining School of the Arts serves families seeking comprehensive, faith-based training across multiple disciplines in a structured, family-friendly setting.
