About Venyci
Dancing professionally for over 15 years. Venyci started her own dance company – Interlude Dance Company (IDC) in 2001 and Interlude Dance Academy (IDA) in 2005. This had given her opportunities to work with many television networks, artists, event organizers, you name it. Both IDC & IDA became the first dance school in Indonesia that provided variety of urban dances and certification approved by Indonesia Ministry of Education.
She started dancing when she was 5 years old, when she was introduced to Ballet by her mom. Later on her mom also introduced her with Indonesian traditional dance called Jaipongan, that brought her to San Francisco, California to work with Indonesian Consulate and dance around USA for 5 years. She started to learn different dances such as Jazz, Hip Hop, Salsa, Belly Dance during her teen years and very glad to get certified in American Ballroom Smooth & Latin in 2012 after moving back to USA, this time to city of Los Angeles instead.
“I enjoy performing and interpreting music through dance. The ultimate reason is that I am able to connect with dancing at a deeper level and able to deliver the message to my students. Through teaching, I enjoy seeing my students progress in dancing and seeing them achieving their dancing goals. Most of us are already equipped and built within us the skills & capacities. Now, it is a matter of understanding the movement itself and bringing it into a deeper meaning. This is my joy and my passion, and my honor to witness the discovery - what I called turning from - Zero to Hero”
