About Jacob
Jacob Reding has been dancing social Country Western since Fall 2003. Jacob started competing in Traditional and Freestyle Bar competitions in 2012 with Chelsea Barron and then took a break in early 2014 from competing for about 4.5 years. Jacob trained professionally as a ballroom instructor with Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Fort Worth from August 2017-January 2018, where he studied many types of partnership dancing. Jacob returned to bar competitions early in 2017 with a vision to reclaim his spot as a top competitor along with his new partner Shelby Smith through April of 2018. Jacob is very involved with Watermark Community Church’s Fort Worth campus and has a strong conviction towards community and using dance to build relationships, confidence, and character.
