About Travis
Hello my name is Travis Schrader, I am a recent new grad from Western Washington University with a degree in computer science. During my time at WWU I gained experience tutoring many people working as a computer science tutor from June 2020 - March 2022. I was also a TA for WWU's non linear algorithms and data structures class.
As a tutor I will provide experience and knowledge in computer science topics including low level computer architecture, algorithms and data structures, language syntax, and databases. I have experience developing in C, Python, Java, Kotlin, Javascript and Racket. I also have experience using the react JS framework and building android applications.
I got started tutoring at Western Washington University because I had originally wanted to be a high school teacher but while in college found my passion for programming and switched majors but never lost my spark for teaching.

When working with a new student I ask questions to understand what the student's goals are, what they are currently struggling with, and what ways they learn best. From there I adapt my teaching style to best suit the student.
I have worked with undergraduate college students, on a wide variety of computer science topics ranging from intro to compute science to upper level computer science courses.

My pricing range is from $20/hr - $25/hr. The range depends on the topic I'm being asked to tutor. Classes you would encounter your first year or two at university at the $20 end, and high level university courses at the $25 end.
