About Desi
Hawaii Youth Chorus was founded by our Director, Ms. Desi in 1990. Our energetic director is a vocal education major from the University of Hawai'i with extensive experience teaching music here in Hawai'i. KHON2 recently recognized Ms. Desi in an Inspirational People segment highlighting HYC's many years of service to our community. Singers are taught proper vocal technique, to be expressive and above all--to develop their self-confidence. HYC's ultimate mission is to #ShareAlohaThroughMusic while #MakingADifferenceThruMusic!
