About Weston
I am a fourth year dental student at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, set to earn my D.D.S in May ‘20 and then resume my training in a residency in Periodontics in July ‘20. During my education I have become fascinated with Anatomy and Physiology and love helping others understand these difficult topics. During my undergrad years I tutored classmates in Physiology in formal sessions and became a graduate teaching assistant for the Physiology undergraduate course at Colorado State University, wherein I taught a review course.
As a dental student, I have worked for the University as a paid tutor for fellow classmates in anatomy. Working through the cranial nerves and understanding sympathetics and parasympathetics are particularly fun to teach!
I have found that breaking down Anatomy and Physiology topics to digestible chunks of information is key to success for those hoping to learn it. I am always happy to see individuals I have tutored find success with their practicals and exams. However, the greatest thrill I have experienced while teaching and tutoring others, has been seeing my students go on to tutor anatomy or physiology, a subject they once dreaded but are now passionate about.
