About Mira
I am a senior Environmental Studies/Public Health undergraduate students at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. I absolutely LOVE teaching and tutoring. I have worked with children since 2013 (age 15!) and have been teaching dance for almost 5 years. I have taken extensive undergraduate coursework in Ecology, Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental History, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public/Global Health. and Global Development.
While in High School, I tutored multiple fellow students in my neighborhood on a regular basis. In college, I tutored "English for Spanish speakers" at my college. For the last 5 years, I have worked at a studio teaching dance courses to children ages 3-14. I am also the manager of a childcare facility (preschool education).
Graduating in May 2020 with a BA in Environmental Studies, minoring in Public Health. Additional elective coursework in Statistics and Econoics.
High School: excelled in AP Environmental Science, AP Human Geography, Statistics, and Economics

I start by getting to know the student personally, understanding their current struggles/anxieties with their coursework, and talking about what their goals are for the day, week, month etc.
Mostly students that are doing well, but just need clarification on particularly challenging lessons
In dance, I have significant experience teaching children with learning disabilities, attention challanges, and behavior challenges.
