I’m Gregory Bowie, and you can contact me via email at (concealed information) or by text at (concealed information) I grew up in the Bay Area, specifically in Oakland, California, where I had the opportunity to play basketball with many talented individuals, including NBA and college players, as well as outstanding high school athletes. Some notable players I've encountered include Brian Shaw, Gary Payton, Henry Turner, Greg Foster, Marcus Cotton, Kevin Johnson, former Warriors player Chris Mullin, Peter Tibeaux, and Larry Smith. I received training from Lester Connors and mentorship from Lorenzo Romar through the Three Crosses Church program in Castro Valley.
In the 1980s, I was actively involved in basketball, standing at 6'1". I was the leading scorer for the 1983-1984 season, despite facing competition from many equally skilled or superior players. In 1983, I attended Al Attles' basketball camp at Stanford University, where I spent a week in wooden cabins. The camp was intense and provided valuable insights into athletic nutrition, footwork fundamentals, and high-intensity conditioning. I was the top scorer at San Lorenzo High School in the Bay Area during the 1983-1984 season, later playing at Chabot College from 1985 to 1986 and Southern Oregon State from 1987 to 1989. I also had the chance to speak with Al Attles of the Warriors.
I have seen significant progress in my training sessions, where players develop ambidexterity in dribbling and improve their footwork, allowing them to excel in high school and college basketball. Over the past 20 years, I have coached youth basketball, blending training sessions with private and small group instruction. My coaching journey began with sixth-grade boys and girls at Prospect Sierra School in El Cerrito, California, and I later progressed to coaching at the competitive AAU basketball level in the Bay Area, as well as junior varsity teams, and now coaching varsity basketball.

We met Coach Bowie at one of our tournaments years ago when we first started our AAU League. Coach Bowie was refereeing one of our games and he saw how distressed I was so he approached me about helping me coach our boys. I am very happy he joined our coaching staff. We have seen our boys improve with his coaching skills. He has great knowledge in teaching boys footwork, shooting drills, plays and conditioning. We enjoy having him as one of our coaches. He is passionate about the game of basketball and even though he doesn't get paid very much, he does coaching for the love of the game and he cares about seeing the boys improve. He is one of the best addition to our non profit program.
Professionalism, accountability, and true passion and care to provide quality service. True investment.
Coach Bowie has trained from grade school all the way through college. He is a coach but also a mentor. He helped me grow as an athlete but also in the classroom. He was a coach but also my mentor who gave me all the tools and guidance to be successful and ultimately play college basketball.
very detailed and pushes you to be the best you can.
Very professional
Expertise in every area and works with each client’s budget based on TYMFS referral feedback. Thank you, Coach Bowie!
Greg trained my 2 Sons in Oakley/Brentwood at Freedom High School 2009-2014 and many other players on teams I coached for AAU and observed at the 10-17 yr olds level for both boys and girls for 5 yrs...His knack for knowing exactly what the team and each individual player needs to improve and ultimately be the best and win is flat out SPECIAL!!! My Sons and I plan on coaching my grandchildren with his "patent" techniques and mindsets!!
Wonderful.
Each individual had enough time learn.
Easy going, patience, and great humor.
Awesome trainer and coach ,and a great role model.
Coach Bowie was my high school coach as well as my AAU coach. His training, advice and outlook on the game took mine to another level. Be ready to work hard. Thank you Coach Bowie!
My experience with BSP was good. It helped me grow and develop into the player I wanted to be.
He’s extremely patient and very detailed with all of his players, that leads to excellent training and players, kudos.
Working with Coach Bowie was greatness because he was always willing to go over and beyond to prepare athletes for competition.
He also served as a mentor who helped develop the mental aspect of training that athletes need in order to develop the self-confidence to grow as a student -athlete.
