About Peter
I have a passion for teaching and finding ways to present materials in ways that apply to what interests the student. I have graduate training and college-level teaching experience. My strengths are in Statistics, other Math subjects, and Social Sciences.
I taught undergraduates as part of my PhD program at Berkeley, high school students as a tutor and mentor for AP statistics and other programs.
Master's degree in Quantitative Political Science from UC Berkeley
Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Political Science, summa cum laude, from CU Boulder

I assess with the student what their performance in the course is, what their goals are, and I talk with them about a few examples of times they really "got it" in a similar subject. I love to find interesting connections with things the student is already interested in, and I believe that almost any student can find value in almost any subject. Math is fun, and if you haven't had fun with it, you just haven't explored far enough!

Peter is a great tutor! Very knowledgable and able to explain things with as much depth needed for a full understanding. Peter is very patient and good at breaking down concepts into smaller pieces so you can really learn on a basic level and then get more abstract. Peter has been helping me in my AP statistics class and I have really benefitted from getting extra help and further explanations from someone who not only knows the concepts but is able to teach it by breaking it down and giving examples.
