About Peter
I teach acting to all levels. No two artists are alike or have the same needs. I assess each actor’s needs individually and we mutually agree on a plan for them to learn and improve their craft step-by-step. While I do some audition coaching, my primary goal is to enhance the strengths and improve the weaknesses in each actor to last them a lifetime. I don’t teach a specific method, but draw on many great teachers to find what works best for each actor. After 40+ years in the profession, I have acted and directed with many of America’s leading actors, directors and playwrights. Finally, I keep my prices low so that the young artist can afford to keep studying. It is my mission to pass on the craft of fine acting, rather than to retire a rich man! I also teach musical theatre technique, Shakespeare and directing.

My father was a renowned actor and director, so I grew up in the theatre and on sets. I trained with many of the great teachers: STELLA Adler, Paul Sills, David Craig. I began as an actor, transitioned to directing, and then to leadingbtheatre companies since 1992. I specialize in Developing new work and in partnering professional and academic programs.
