About Ellen
Ellen Gerstein Acting workshop is open during 'safer at home' order for Zoom class, Zoom/Skype/Facetime coaching. Acting workshop/class and personal acting coach. Specializing in auditioning, script analysis, technique and the business. Ellen is an award winning actor, director and filmmaker.
I have a tremendous passion for sharing my knowledge of acting. I get excited when people move forward in their craft.
I was an actor and for some years a stand up comic, all the comics wanted me to teach them to act and that is how I started to teach. I teach comedy and drama.
I studied acting five years with Lee Strasberg. I studied script analysis years with Stella Adler. I am a member and an audition judge at The Actors Studio.

I have the new acting students work right away, so I can see where they are in their craft and exactly what they need to go futher. I work specifically and personally with each actor so they can be the best they can be.
I enjoy teaching all types and all ages.
I would advise that they trust the teacher, feel comfortable in class, so they can take risks in order to stretch and grow. Audit so you can get the feel of the class and make sure it's for you.
