About Desmond
Acting is my joy and teaching is an invaluable learning experience for everyone involved myself included. I love spending my time engaging in this work and I love to collaborate and watch people grow. It's a pleasure for everyone involved and I hope we can work together soon.
I work with the intention of creating actionable products at the end of our time together. We're not going to be working on endless exercises or creative explorations (which are important) but leave you with little to show. We begin right away by working on material that you will be able to utilize as soon as we're finished.
I began directing during in undergraduate at SUNY Purchase and through directing professionally in New York I seamlessly transitioned into a teaching position.
My style of teaching is the same as my style of directing, how do we get the best performance from you possible.
Hi my name is Desmond and I've been professionally acting for over 10 years.
I received my BFA in Acting from SUNY Purchase where I received the Presidential Award for Excellence and graduated with honors.
Since then I've been acting and teaching theater in New York City.
I am a certified Shakespeare teaching artist with Hudson Valley Shakespeare and through them had the privilege of teaching at acclaimed institutions such as West Point Military Academy.

Every student is different and every process is different. Especially when everyone has a different goal and intended outcome for taking lessons.
Whether you're just trying something new or are getting prepared for an audition, role, or other hard deadlines; you and I will work together to tailor each lesson to best benefit you.
From students getting ready for highschool auditions to seasoned professionals delving into a new role, I've done it all.
