About Johanna
Seeing my actors find new levels of authenticity and confidence on stage is what inspires me to do this work. A well acted piece is wonderful, a piece where an actor has the confidence and tools to reveal something about themselves, and so, live truly and full within the world of the character is world changing.
I trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and North Carolina Central University.
I hold a bachelors in Dramatic Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

I introduce my approach to coaching in the first session and get an idea of an actors goals and experience. We jump into the work immediately, as I always ask actors to bring a couple of monologues they like with them. We spend time on those and decide whether to keep working with them or pick new material.
Seniors in High School preparing for College Auditions

Adults wanting to work on shows they have been booked in outside of rehearsal schedules.

My first student has gone on not only to act professionally, but also to write strong short films.
