About Jose
I provide personal one on one acting lessons with students and young adults, personalized to each actor according to past experience and education. I teach audition monologue prep, scene work, character study, improv, voice, and expanding your "actor's toolbelt" in a stress-free environment where you can be yourself. My studio is where you can drop everything from the outside world with no judgement, and freely and openly work on your craft.
Earning a BFA in Theatre Performance from Florida Atlantic University. Acting methods I have studied and teach include Stanislavsky, Grotovsky, and Michael Chekhov. I also like to incorporate voice technique into my lessons pulling from Fitz-Maurice and Linklater.
I have been teaching improv comedy at FAU for the past 2 years, as well as private audition prep. I have directed and assistant directed many productions as well.
Acting is my sincerest passion. Being able to tell stories and affect an entire audience using only yourself is a magnificent and powerful art. I hope that I'm able to inspire young actors and show them the great satisfaction they can get from acting.
