About Krista
I get it; most people, no matter how motivated, don’t want to come to tutoring.
I promise you’ll leave each session feeling better about that assignment, test, or essay. I am an experienced college counselor, teacher, and test prep tutor who’s still a kid at heart. I might make dorky jokes, but I understand the transformative power of a college education and will do all I can to help you achieve your goals.
My varied skill set: not only can we review linear equations or learn the proper use of a semicolon, but we can also discuss your college list, essays, organizational/time management concepts, and anything involving the college-bound process.
I love to find class material specific to students’ interests. Learning is fun, but NOT when it means rote memorization or the exploration of irrelevant topics. Let’s read and become better writers or problem solvers, yes— but can we do so while working through a short passage that’s ACTUALLY interesting to read?
