About Richard
Current Ivy League University student in Sophomore year tutoring SAT and ACT.
Scored 99+% on SAT, both English and Math. Access to the materials I used to get this score for myself, as well as tutoring materials used for both SAT and ACT tutoring for multiple high school students.
I like working with high school students around my age because I had to go about the process without any tutoring, and so it’s nice to be able to help people who may need it. I think the SAT and the ACT are flawed measures for college, so I like to help people be able to get past worrying about them and focus on other parts of their application.

I like to start off by seeing where the student is at, then we mostly work on test questions and taking different chunks of the test and figuring out how to master them. Typically my tutoring doesn’t get super in depth on practice questions, as I’ve seen that it’s not a super effectual way to raise your score. Instead, the format of the test and understanding the idiosyncrasies of both the SAT and ACT is the main focus, with practice questions being used as an auxiliary to assist in this process.
