About Teresa
I have over 5 years of teaching experience in a variety of mediums. I have a strong passion for creating art and a desire to teach others to do the same. I enjoy interacting with all ages, and I have experience teaching all ages. Classes for acrylic painting and cake decorating are taught in my inhome studio, which is a relaxed space providing a comfortable experience. No more than three students will be enrolled in a class, and individual learning plans will be developed. I also do workshops and am willing to do a class to assist you in creating your very own special cake for your special occasion.
The goal is to learn the basics to be applied to creating your own works of art. Classes will be 2 hour sessions once a week and a beginner kit will need to be purchased and students will receive it the first class. Workshop hours vary, and private lessons can be arranged. Fueling an artistic passion by teaching others how to use the tools of the trade is very rewarding to me.
In 1986 my mother opened a private craft store. I helped manage it and taught classes there. This is where I truly got bit by the artistic bug and my passion and skills grew from there.
I am a certified professional cake decorator. I have worked in the arts and crafts field for many years and I have experience teaching a variety of classes including acrylic painting.
