About DeNorsha
DeNorsha Al Bey is an Artist living and working in Baton Rouge, LA. Al Bey has a desire to communicate, examine, and subverted the relationships between art, and the lived experience between spirit, and science.
This can be seen Al Bey's series of works featuring self portraiture, tribal portraiture, surrealist afrofuturism, commissioned portraits, acrylic abstraction, acrylic mixed media, painting, body painting, beauty make up, special-effects make up, performing arts costumes, and headdresses.
DeNorsha's works often showcase their personal examination and experience of life, spirit and science through a religious historic lense, through the zodiac, through the occult, and the metaphysical. Painting a lived experience of identity/lack of identity, a journey gender/gender identity, genealogy and it's relationship to mutism, multiculturalism, herstory, representation, and universal law.
Al Bey actively exhibits her work throughout the United States and many of her pieces can be found in private and public collections.
The collaborative work Al Bey has done with other artists such as CaldtoArt, Lesley Barlow, and Laurespaints and folks in the community can be seen in a number of murals and body paint events in Minneapolis MN, Baltimore MD, Norfolk VA, Washington DC, Las Vegas NV,. DeNorsha's professional contracts include Wellspring Second Chance Center, Shiloh Temple International Ministries, The Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Symphonia, and Rise and Shine early learning Center.
Rebirth of Eve was founded in 2007 by DeNorsha Al Bey and has since had a 13 year history. As well as grown to include painting instruction. Sharing and teaching introduction to color, color theory, color composition.
DeNorsha started teaching art instruction when as an early childhood education. That grew into teaching adults in paint and sips.
DeNorsha has a 20 year history and working with acrylics, watercolors, color pencils, and mix media. Likewise, DeNorsha has a long-standing history of working one on one as well as with large groups of students.

I like to Consult with new students to establish lesson plans. As well as get a clear understanding as to the students primary objective for taking classes with me.
Al Bey has a long history of working with both children and adults neurotypical as well as neurodiverse people, people with disabilities, as well as seniors.
As an artist, I'd like to advise students to seek out an art instructor who they can have fun with, learn from, as well as cultivate life-changing, and creative experiences.
DeNorsha's most recent event was in Minneapolis MN working with Religious as well as community members for the upliftment of BLM. This works includes painting one of 12 6 x 10 acrylic canvases Illustrating what Health and wellness looks like for people of color in the Minneapolis community.
