About Michelle
I love working with young students tutoring math from elementary to prealgebra! I have 25 years experience teaching in the classroom setting, small groups, and individual students. I love to see the understanding of concepts take place and the child excited to learn! I received my teaching degree from UCF and my certification to teach through the state of Floridađ
I am a tutor that is positive and exciting! I love encouraging children that learning is fun!
My first year teaching was with  third graders and then first grade.  I taught Title 1 with Kindergarten through third grade. I also taught as a kindergarten teacher for 10 years. I've tutored one-on-one in a private school for two years working with kindergarten through eighth grade. I've also had lots of individual teaching from homeschooling my own children.

In teaching math, the best process is hands on; I will use manipulatives as much as possible. I also will work out the problem alongside the student to help with understanding.
