Jayce is someone I know very well. She makes others around her better performers, whether it be onstage in a scene with them or offstage directing the play. In my case, she helped get in touch with my character’s emotional aspects in a play that required strenuous mental focus on my part. Overall, she is a kind, empathetic soul who has both knowledge and passion for theatre, and she’d make a wonderful teacher for anyone who employs her.

I am a colleague of Jayce's in the theatre who has seen her passion for the stage firsthand. Jayce has an astounding ability not only to understand and explore different character's mindsets and motives but to take on their perspectives and follow them through many decisions and reactions an outside observer may not have expected. She is exceedingly humble, warm, and patient, and is always excited to share her knowledge in the world of acting. Her students have only to gain from interacting with her.

I have gotten the honor of learning and working alongside Jayce Ross for the past few years. In high school she spent a lot of time with the Albuquerque Academy theater department working on various projects. She was able to direct “Peter and Wendy” as well as play many roles in school musicals and plays. Recently she has gotten the chance to work with some of her previous teachers and has shown a great deal of commitment and hard work. She is always kind but gets down to business when she needs to. She uses different teaching strategies such as kinesthetic learning which she used quite a bit while directing “Peter and Wendy.” She also uses visual-spatial and musical learning. When she is teaching she gives her students her full attention and her students reciprocate and respect her. I personally have the utmost respect for Jayce and know that she will be a fantastic instructor.
