About Tania R
As a Cuban born citizen, I possess native fluency in reading, writing and speaking the Spanish language, and I have traveled extensively to Spanish and Russian speaking areas. I spent five years in the former Soviet Union (Kiev, Ukraine), studying the Russian language, and later worked as a Russian translator and interpreter for the Cuban Military. This experience has provided me with a solid grasp of various regional dialects and customs, as well as nonstandard language use (e.g. slang). My experiences as well as my formal training in both Spanish and Russian, have also given me a firm grasp of proper sentence structure, grammar rules, and vocabulary from both languages.
