About David
I am a retired teacher with many years of helping students achieve their very best in the subjects I teach. This may be to give the student confidence during the school lesson, that all important pass in maths at GCSE or preparation for university.
I can come to your home if nearby, you can come to me where I have a teaching area set aside, or on-line Zoom is possible

My aim when tutoring is to improve the confidence of the student by clear explanation as well the use of question problems. A relaxed atmosphere is very important allowing the student to feel able to contribute during the lesson.
Initially my aim in a lesson is to assess the ability of the student. Then to provide support for the work currently being dealt with in the school lessons. If this is up to date we address issues with work done previously including past years.
For those preparing for GCSE or A Levels I will focus at some stage on past papers.
Lessons are usually one hour long but may be longer for older students.
I am a qualified and experienced teacher and have been tutoring these subjects for forty years I have a physics degree from Oxford University and Certificate in Education from Bristol University.
I teach ages from 12 - 18 years.
