About Chris
In my professional background, I have a degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's of Business Administration. I worked on large construction projects like bridges and airports. And I've owned my own business. So I have a lot of experience using math to solve daily problems.
Last year our local high school needed a geometry teacher at the last minute. I stepped in, having never taught before, and really fell in love with the learning process and working with students.
I also have 4 kids, ages 21, 19, 15 and 13. I coached all of them in baseball. I try to make things fun. Even if math isn't your favorite subject, I'll do my best to keep things interesting.

My teaching experience showed me that the key to learning math is.... doing math. So rather than having a set of independent lessons (that may not correlate to what your student's math teacher is working on), I want to focus on what your student is doing in class and supplement or support them as they complete their problem sets, assignments or homework.
I'm focusing specifically on middle and younger high school students as that is where I see the greatest need. Coming out of Covid, math fluency is down drastically. So we'll work at your student's speed to ensure that they are understanding the material and fill in any knowledge gaps as we find them.
