About Jocelyn
Hi! I’m a passionate and experienced piano teacher who loves helping students of all ages discover the joy of music. I achieved a Diploma in the Associate of Trinity College London, distinction in Grade 8 ABRSM as well as a Gold Award in the ABRSM high achiever's festival. I have experience in teaching in primary school settings as well as home individual classes for children and adults. I offer a supportive, patient, and engaging learning environment where students can thrive. My teaching style is flexible and student-focused. I tailor each lesson to suit your individual goals, interests, and pace. Whether you want to learn for fun, explore your favorite songs, or prepare for AMEB exams, I can help you get there with confidence and encouragement. I believe learning music should be enjoyable and inspiring - and would love to help you in your music journey!

What to Expect in Lessons:
Each lesson is tailored to the individual student’s needs, goals, and interests. Here's what you can expect:
- A relaxed and encouraging environment
- A mix of technique, theory, and practical playing
- Learn pieces that you enjoy – classical, pop, movie themes, and more
- Option to follow the AMEB syllabus for structured progress (including theory and exams), or just learn for fun (no exams)
- A strong focus on musicality, technique, and building confidence
Materials taught can include:
- AMEB pieces and technical work
- Music theory and sight-reading
- Student-chosen pieces or songs of interest
My qualifications and experience:
- Diploma in Associate Trinity College London (ATCL)
- Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Performance
- Merit in ABRSM Grade 8 Theory
- Experienced in teaching piano/keyboard for children and adults for individual, shared, and group classes.
