About Bernard
I’m an Aerospace Engineer but I’ve been working as a private tutor and academy teacher for ten years in Barcelona, helping students of many ages with Spanish, Catalan, English, Mathematics and Physics. Since I got my Master’s degree in Teaching I’ve been working in a Vocational Education and Training School with kids from 16 years old to adults.

On our first session (free!) I will assess your current level and we’ll talk to find out:
- What are your goals, what do you want to learn Spanish for
- What is the best learning style for you to achieve them
- What are your interests, since learning is enhanced when the context is relevant and interesting to you
- Any doubts you may have about the lessons
I will prepare each session according to your current level, your goals, your interests, whether you have previous experience learning a new language, your strengths and how much time are you willing to spend both on the lessons and between them.
If you are motivated you just need a guide who knows how to create an effective learning environment. If you are here you obviously are motivated, so my job is to keep that motivation level by making the lessons entertaining and above all, making sure you learn and you feel that you are progressing.
In language learning exposure is the most effective tool so my efforts will also be focused in giving you resources and tools so that you keep learning between the lessons (not studying!).
