About Susan
I’m a language teacher with more than 20 years of experience teaching teenagers and adults, and I absolutely love helping people discover the confidence to communicate in another language.
I hold a Master’s degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language (ELE), a degree in English Philology, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Spanish-English Translation. I have taught both English and Spanish to students with very different levels, goals and learning needs.
But teaching is much more than my qualifications. I teach because I love seeing that moment when a student suddenly understands something, uses a new expression for the first time, or realizes that they can actually communicate in Spanish. Those moments are what make teaching so rewarding for me.
Over the years, I have learned that every student is different. Some people need more time, some need more conversation, some need clear grammar explanations, and others learn best through practical situations. That is why I always try to adapt my lessons to the person in front of me.
I want my students to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and trying again. You don't need to speak perfect Spanish to start speaking Spanish.
Whether you are learning Spanish for work, travel, study, everyday life or simply because you love the language, I would love to help you on your journey.

I believe that learning a language should be practical, personalized and enjoyable. My aim is not simply to teach you grammar and vocabulary, but to help you feel confident using Spanish in real-life situations.
I have over 20 years of experience teaching teenagers and adults, and I adapt my lessons to each student's level, goals, interests and learning style. Whether you are starting Spanish from scratch, want to improve your fluency or need Spanish for work, travel or everyday life, we will focus on what you actually need.
