About Hannah
Hi! I'm Hannah. I am a teacher who is passionate about breaking down complex scientific ideas and making STEM subjects feel far less intimidating. I particularly enjoy that moment when something suddenly “clicks” for a student and their confidence begins to grow!
I am calm, patient and reassuring in my approach, and I understand that every student processes information differently. I am always happy to adapt my teaching style to suit how an individual learns best.
I believe maths and science should be engaging and meaningful, not just memorised for exams. By connecting topics to real-world applications and encouraging understanding over recall type learning, I aim to make lessons both enjoyable and impactful.
I find it especially rewarding to support students who may be struggling and help them realise they are capable of far more than they think.

I offer structured, supportive chemistry and maths tuition from GCSE through to university level. I hold a BSc and MSc in Forensic Science, a PGCAP teaching qualification, and have three years’ experience teaching on a BSc Forensic Investigation degree, alongside over a decade of scientific industry experience in forensic drug analysis and the pharmaceutical sector, specialising in analytical and phytochemistry.
Lessons are 50 minutes and carefully tailored to each student’s needs and pace. I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and strengthening core understanding so students feel confident tackling questions independently. We use worked examples, past paper practice, and structured revision to reduce exam anxiety and build consistent progress.
My lessons are ideal for students who may feel stuck, lack confidence, or simply want to secure higher grades in a supportive and encouraging environment.
