About Jackie
I’ve been a teacher for 16 years; 4 years in mainstream and supply, 7 years in behaviour units and the last 5 in a SEND school. This basically means I’ve got a wide range of very inventive ways to capture the interest of students and teach scientific concepts.
I’m a crafter, love being creative and hate exercise. My happy place is behind a sewing machine listening to music or a stand up comedian.

My lessons involve a lot of discussion, drawing out ideas in diagrams and visualisation techniques to wrap the mind around abstract concepts in science. I use quizzes and exam questions related to each subject to consolidate understanding, and teach exam technique to be able to successfully get that knowledge down on the exam paper.
