About Sudaama
Hi, Im Sudaama (aka Dean) a resident of Bristol, UK. Way back in the day, I came here to study aeronautics at Bristol Uni, but shortly after graduating I realised that I was more attracted to teaching and so mathematics teaching was the first choice for me. However, since the mid/late 80’s I have also researched many other interesting fields of study but have a particular interest in ancient vedic culture and teachings (composed in sanskrit etc) and the way of life that it encourages and supports.

When it comes to thinking about a particular subject matter, everyone one of us has a unique perspective and, even though we may see “eye to eye” on certain points, everyone actually thinks about a particular thing in a slightly different way to someone else.
Our teaching/tutoring philosophy is based on encouraging each student to tap (or tune) into their own baseline, vantage position, from where they can see things from their own unique angle of vision. Only then do we present to the student some standard, accepted, functional, workable, practical, mathematical model. Ultimately, if the student can take possession of their own learning and embrace the mathematical ideas for themselves, the study of mathematics will, for them, become easy and enjoyable. Psychology and philosophy plays a big part in our tutoring methodology.
We believe in developing a solid mathematical base - as you are only as strong as your weakest link.
Fundamental principles are gently reinforced, becoming second nature to the student, and within a short time they have developed confidence, self assurance and belief in their own ability to think critically and logically about any subject matter. Success is assured after that!
Our online lessons are open to anyone and typically are of 50 minutes duration.
We ourselves possess BSC(hons) and Msc degrees in aeronautical engineering and aerodynamics (gained from Bristol and Cranfield Universities) but have been tutoring in mathematics since the mid/late 80’s.
We qualified as a mathematics/ICT teacher in 1997 and have worked as a mainstream teacher in both private and state sectors: primary, secondary and SEN. We have successfully taught students of all ages and abilities in a variety of settings, both face-to-face and online and continue to do so to this day.
We specialise in helping students diminish their mathematical obstacles and help to bring out their natural love of the subject teaching/tutoring pre-GCSE, GCSE, Advanced-level and Further mathematics.
We also teach “off-curriculum” vedic mathematics techniques and coding/web/software development, for those students who express an interest in any of those areas. Suffice to say, we do have a genuine interest, appreciation and love of mathematics (and other technical subjects) and are always keen to learn about and impart knowledge of this fascinating subject to others.
