About Tanishka
Hey there, I’m Tanishka! I’m a dedicated and approachable tutor who genuinely enjoys helping students become more confident in their abilities. I have been tutoring for over 3 years, with this being my 4th year and have worked with multiple students across different ages, year levels, and learning needs. My own academic results in the subjects I tutor consistently sit within the A range, giving me a strong understanding of the expectations students are working towards.
A little about me is that I am currently studying towards a career in Medicine, specifically cardiology, so I understand firsthand the pressure students can experience when choosing subjects, maintaining grades, and planning for university. Alongside tutoring, I also offer career and academic planning support. I have been providing this type of guidance for around 2 years and have worked with multiple students to help them make informed decisions about their subjects, courses, and future pathways. I particularly enjoy helping students research university courses and potential careers, understand entry requirements, determine the grades they need to maintain, and create realistic plans around university options and future living costs. As I am actively researching these pathways myself, I understand how overwhelming it can be to compare courses, universities, requirements, and career outcomes and I aim to make this process much clearer and more manageable for students and their parents.
I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I take the time to adapt my explanations and teaching style to suit each individual. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and working through difficult concepts without feeling judged.
I particularly enjoy helping students with assignments because I believe strong academic habits are developed over time. My approach is focused on teaching students how to understand a task and its rubric, rather than simply completing the work for them. I want students to leave each lesson feeling more capable of tackling their next assessment independently.
As all of my lessons are conducted online, I can provide flexible and convenient tutoring that fits around students’ school, extracurricular, and family commitments. Whether a student needs help understanding a challenging topic, improving an assignment, planning their academic pathway, or simply building confidence, I am committed to providing patient, personalized, and encouraging support.

My tutoring focuses on helping students genuinely understand their subjects while developing the skills needed to produce high-quality academic work independently. I specialize in Biology, Psychology, English, and Health & Wellbeing, with my own results in these subjects consistently sitting within the A range.
A major focus of my tutoring is assignment support. Assignments may seem like small components compared with exams, but they contribute significantly to a student’s overall grade, so learning how to approach them effectively from an early stage can make a real difference. I help students understand assessment rubrics, interpret task requirements, structure their work, strengthen their explanations, and refine their writing so they can aim for the highest marks available. Rather than simply correcting a student’s work, I explain why changes are needed so they gradually learn to identify and improve these areas themselves. This helps build strong academic habits that students can carry into future subjects and year levels. Moreover, my tutoring also focuses on making difficult content easier to understand while helping students develop the skills to work independently. I use clear explanations, examples, guided practice, and personalized feedback based on each student’s needs.
I have over three years of tutoring experience, with this being my fourth year and have worked with students of different ages, abilities, and learning needs. Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are personalized to what each student and their parents need, whether that's learning difficult content, preparing for an assessment, improving an assignment, proofreading, reducing word count while maintaining quality, or developing better study and writing skills.
All lessons are conducted online through Zoom, providing flexibility and convenience for students and families. My goal is not simply to help students achieve a good result on one assessment but to teach them how to understand expectations, approach their work confidently, and develop skills they can use independently.
