About Nagindra
I am an experienced primary teacher and former headteacher, with many years of experience helping children learn, make progress and develop confidence in themselves.
I offer supportive, personalised tuition for children aged 4–11, helping with Maths, English, reading, writing, phonics, spelling, handwriting, comprehension, homework and general school support. I also offer preparation for the 11+ entrance exam.
Every child is different, so I adapt my teaching to their individual needs, age, ability and learning style. Some children need help closing gaps in their learning, while others may benefit from extra challenge or support in preparing for an assessment or entrance exam.
My sessions are friendly, structured and encouraging. I aim to make learning enjoyable while helping children develop the skills and confidence to become more independent learners. I use a range of practical and creative approaches and will carefully build on what a child already knows before introducing new learning.
Alongside my teaching experience, I have advanced training in Drawing and Talking, which has given me additional approaches for helping children communicate, recognise their strengths and develop confidence. I also have experience using solution-focused approaches with children.
I particularly enjoy helping children who may have lost confidence in their learning. My approach is to identify what a child can do, build on their strengths and then work together on the areas they find more difficult.
Whether your child needs help with a particular area of the curriculum, support to catch up, preparation for the 11+, or simply a confidence boost, I aim to provide a calm, positive and encouraging learning environment.

As a qualified teacher I offer high quality tutoring and assessments to ensure children's needs are met. However if there is small group of four children I can offer a reduced rate, which we can discuss.
