About Gengyue
Hello, I'm a PhD student in the Engineering Department at the University of Oxford with extensive experience teaching maths and natural sciences. I love teaching because it allows me to share my passion for learning and help students overcome challenges. I believe that personalised, one-on-one tutoring can unlock each student's potential by breaking down complex concepts into clear, understandable ideas. I want to teach to empower you, build your confidence, and inspire a lifelong love of learning, ensuring that you achieve academic success and truly understand the subjects you study. I used to be an under-average student in high school—I even got U’s in Chemistry. However, I met a wonderful Chemistry tutor who guided me through the concepts step by step. Perfect! Daniel has worked wonders with my son. I leave them to it but my son seems more confident in Maths. Overall I am pleased with the progress my son has made. I would recommend.
- Zayns shows his potential in math intuition and I think what he needs is to get commfortable with algebraic manipulations epspecially the facterization of quardratic expressions, plotting quardratic functions and solving quardratic equations.
