About Tamami
Tamami Maitland, a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter and jazz pianist, captivates audiences with her soothing and groovy feel, drawing from her Japanese heritage. Her music, a fusion of jazz, and R&B, resonates with themes of nature and love reminiscent of traditional Japanese poetry. Following her successful debut international tour in Japan in 2023, Tamami continues to inspire positivity through her uplifting performances. Class Description:
In my Piano classes, I will cover these areas of study
- Technique
- Song Repertoire
- Ear Training
- Sight Reading (when students are at appropriate level)
- Music Theory
In summary I focus on building proper posture and broad area of study including ear training and theory while keeping fun style of learning. I recommend 30 minutes lesson for young/beginner students, but I can offer 45 minutes or 1 hour classes for more advanced students or adults.
