About Leroy
Hi, I'm Leroy Lee, a pop and jazz pianist, keyboardist, and music educator with over 10 years of teaching and performing experience.
My musical journey began with classical piano training and later led me into pop, jazz, improvisation, and composition. Along the way, I earned an award at the inaugural Malaysian Jazz Piano Competition, completed a Bachelor's Degree in Contemporary Music at UCSI University, and performed professionally across Southeast Asia, including onboard cruise ships.
I teach students of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced players. Lessons are tailored to your goals and can include:
• Piano performance
• Playing by ear
• Accompaniment
• Improvisation
• Composition
• Music reading and theory
I believe music should be inspiring, practical, and enjoyable. My goal is not just to teach piano, but to help you make music a lifelong companion.
Qualifications & Experience

• Award recipient at the inaugural Malaysian Jazz Piano Competition
• 10+ years of teaching and performing experience
• Former music educator at a music academy in Xiamen, China

Perfect! I have been taking the lesson for more than a month now. Even though I have some background knowledge, I still learn something new every lesson which keeps me motivated and excited to improve. I truly appreciate the effort he puts into preparing each lesson—it’s clear he cares about his students’ progress.
