About Gianna
I have 10 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance. My background includes solo performance, ensemble collaboration, and music education work with students of all ages. Over time, I discovered that effective teaching requires patience, encouragement, and clear structure. I believe every student can grow when lessons are adapted to their pace and goals.
My teaching style combines technical discipline with artistic expression. I focus on building strong foundations in reading, rhythm, and finger control while encouraging creativity. Students often appreciate my balanced approach, where progress is steady but never rushed. I enjoy helping learners prepare for school performances, community events, and personal musical goals.
Beyond teaching, I continue practicing and studying repertoire to stay inspired. Music is a lifelong journey, and I love sharing that journey with my students. Watching someone move from simple exercises to confident performance is deeply rewarding. My goal is to help each student discover joy, discipline, and personal expression at the piano.

My piano lessons focus on building musical fluency from the first session. Students begin by understanding hand position, finger independence, and basic note reading in a simple and supportive way. I combine rhythm training with practical exercises so learners can play with steady timing and confidence. Sight reading is introduced early, allowing students to recognize patterns instead of memorizing isolated notes. We practice scales and short technical exercises that strengthen control and coordination without creating tension.
As lessons progress, students explore dynamics, articulation, and tone balance. I guide them in shaping phrases with intention and musical feeling. Duet playing is also included, helping learners listen carefully and respond musically in real time. This builds awareness and teamwork. For those interested in modern styles or church music, I incorporate chord progressions and accompaniment techniques that are practical and enjoyable.
Each lesson balances technique and creativity. Students are encouraged to ask questions, experiment with expression, and reflect on their playing. My aim is to create confident pianists who understand both structure and emotion. With steady guidance, learners develop strong skills and lasting musical confidence.
