About Ira

I’m a Physics tutor with over 8 years of experience and a BSc in Biophysics. My passion lies in making the fascinating world of light and its applications come alive for my students. I specialize in applied optics, helping learners understand concepts like light propagation, total internal reflection, lens design, and image formation through practical, real-world examples.
We’ll explore how fiber optics carry vast amounts of data in modern telecommunications, using total internal reflection to guide light efficiently over long distances. I also show how microscopy techniques use lenses and light propagation to reveal the hidden structures of cells and tissues in biomedical imaging.
