About Kat
I am a lifelong learner who struggled with an undiagnosed learning disability until halfway through my PhD program. I have always wondered where I would be if I was not so passionate about knowledge. I am a former high school social studies teacher with Master’s in Education. I also coached fine arts and debate. I then spent over 20 years in corporate training working with adults and earning my PhD in Psychology. Since the start of the pandemic, I have been honored to be a TESOL certified online ESL tutor for VIPKid International. I have taught over 600 students, more than 1800 classes, and logged 45000+ minutes of tutoring time. I still learn something new every day. I look forward to meeting you.

I work with middle school through college age students in all humanities subjects, study skills, and test taking strategies. I work with adult ESL students in business English and presentation skills. Let’s start with a conversation and talk about tutoring to your goals.
