About Fiona
I have been tutoring English since 2015, supporting students through both PSLE and O Levels with a proven record of success. As a graduate of NUS in Sociology and History, I bring both academic depth and a clear understanding of how students learn best. Currently teaching more than 20 students in both individual and group settings, I am highly familiar with the latest MOE syllabus, exam formats, and marking requirements. My approach combines structured teaching with patient guidance, ensuring that every student builds strong foundations in composition, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, synthesis & transformation, and oral practice. Over the years, my students have consistently achieved an average improvement of two grades, but more importantly, they gain confidence, resilience, and a positive attitude toward learning.

A graduate of NUS in Sociology & History, I currently coach over 20 students through both individual and group classes. My expertise covers every segment of the English paper—composition, comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, synthesis & transformation, and oral practice. Having successfully guided students through PSLE and O Levels, I deliver consistent improvements, with many achieving an average of two grades higher under my structured and supportive tutelage. My teaching approach is results-focused yet nurturing, designed to help students gain both confidence and competence in English. I carefully tailor lessons to each child’s unique strengths and weaknesses, ensuring steady progress across all paper components. With a balance of clear explanations, targeted practice, and proven exam techniques, I equip students to perform under pressure while strengthening long-term language skills. Parents value my structured, consistent methods, which not only deliver tangible grade improvements but also instill discipline, resilience, and a positive attitude toward learning. My lessons typically last 1.5hrs for lower primary and 2hrs for upper primary and secondary level. Depending on the students' requirements, I am open to both individual one-on-one classes as well as group or siblings classes.
