Lessons are tailored to the student’s level, pace, and objectives—whether conversational fluency, academic Russian, literacy development, or heritage language maintenance.
From the earliest stages, students actively use Russian in speaking, listening, reading, and writing through guided conversation, role‑play, and real‑life contexts.
Lessons follow a precise sequence: introduction of new material, guided practice, meaningful application, and review. This supports confidence and long‑term retention.
With extensive experience in ESE, ESOL, gifted, and bilingual education, I use visual supports, scaffolded tasks, repetition, and differentiated strategies to ensure success for all learners.
Language learning is enriched with cultural elements (traditions, history, literature, and everyday life), helping students understand not only how Russian works, but how it is used.
I provide clear feedback, encourage self‑correction, and create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making progress.
I am a Master‑level educator with over 32 years of professional teaching experience in the United States and internationally.
I hold a certificate from Moscow State University (MGU) and have been teaching Russian online since 2016.
