About Taz
I'm a music producer, mixing engineer and songwriter with over a decade of experience across genres including Hip-Hop, Electronica, House, Pop, Dubstep, and Techno. I hold a Master’s in Commercial Music Production from Tileyard Education - one of the UK’s leading music institutions.
Over the years, I’ve produced and mixed music for major labels such as Universal and BMG, and created bespoke music for brands including Adidas Y-3, Liberty London, and Karl Lagerfeld. Alongside this, I’m an active electronic music artist with experience in live performance and DJing, having had my own music played on BBC Radio 1, Kiss FM etc. Most recently I have mixed and co-produced an EP that was released on Anjuna.
Whether you're a beginner looking to get started or an artist wanting to take your productions to the next level, I tailor lessons to suit your goals and sound.

My approach to teaching is very methodical. I believe that the best way to learn is by having a hands-on approach. However, I cater my teaching style to the individual student, for you to learn in your best way. In my classes, you will be in the producer's seat creating fresh music using my guided techniques to bring your sonic vision to life. You will learn the how's and why's of music production, but most importantly, I will encourage experimentation for your own work to help you discover your sound! My classes are suitable for people at all levels. Whether you're a beginner or advanced level producer who would like to gain knowledge on switching over to a new DAW, my classes will be moulded differently for each individual student. I specialise in Ableton Live, however I do also work and teach in Logic Pro. I will provide personalised assignments for my students to do in their own time, so they can apply the skills that have been learnt in each lesson. During our classes we will cover topics such as: Mixing/Audio Production Recording Skills Remixing Songwriting Synthesis (Digital & Analogue) Sampling + Requested Topics I also offer crash courses for experienced producers who are more familiar with other DAWs to learn the ins and outs of an alternative option. Perfect! Taz has been a brilliant guide to music production. We've had structured learning delivered with casual flair, and Taz has been super adaptable in his approach to lessons.
The structured side is great because it means I get to learn a specific skill - synthesis, transitions, sampling, etc - and then outside lessons I've practised it through a specific assignment (homework!). The adaptable side is that I've returned to the next session with a new piece, which we've then dived into together.
I've found the whole process particularly helpful because focusing on one thing outside a lesson provides constraints that push me to experiment with things I might not otherwise have considered - melodies, rhythms, synths, etc. So as well as learning production skills, I feel like it's expanding my musical appreciation at the same time.

I’ve been learning production from Taz for the last 2 years and can’t begin to describe how much my skills have developed in this time. He keeps the lessons very lighthearted with his excellent sense of humour, and somehow will turn a joke into something very intellectual and useful, 20/10 would recommend!

Taz has been there throughout my levels of learning production on Ableton as well as setting up my live show as Poté. His patience and knowledge really shines through in critical/stressful moments, helping come up with solutions for issues or suggesting completely new ways of doing things which has helped me greatly! He still remains my go to when it comes to problem solving as well as mix referencing.
I had the best experience learning with Taz. The way he explains concepts and helps you put them into practice makes the process so much more enjoyable. I felt like I learned more from him in our first lesson than all the hours I spent watching tutorials online. He really helps you apply the knowledge directly in classes so that it fundamentally sticks, and all the tricks he showed me have levelled up my production tenfold. Couldn't reccomend enough. Taz is a great teacher and always very patient and explanative with his teaching. From small things which may seem obvious to bigger more technical things, Taz always seems to be able to make you feel comfortable to ask questions and learn.
