About Aroush
I’m a dedicated and approachable medical student at the University of Manchester, offering high-quality GCSE Biology and Chemistry tuition, both online and in person. With a strong academic background and firsthand experience of the challenges students face, I’m passionate about helping others succeed. I combine deep subject knowledge with effective teaching techniques that build confidence, boost understanding, and improve exam performance. My lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style, and I support them with custom resources and revision strategies that suit their needs—whether that’s visual aids, active recall methods, or targeted exam-style practice. I also help students develop useful acronyms, memory tricks, and effective memorisation techniques, making it easier to retain complex information. I am familiar with all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR, and can adapt my teaching accordingly. Rather than relying on last-minute cramming, I focus on helping students build their knowledge and exam skills consistently throughout the year, ensuring they feel confident and well-prepared by exam season. Lessons take place in a relaxed but structured environment, where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace. As a medical student with a strong academic background in the sciences, I bring both subject expertise and a patient, understanding approach to tutoring. I specialise in GCSE Biology and Chemistry and support students from ages 14–16, whether they are preparing for exams, struggling with core concepts, or aiming to achieve top grades. My lessons typically last 60 minutes, but I can adapt the length to suit each student's needs and attention span. I begin by identifying any gaps in understanding through friendly discussion or short diagnostic questions. From there, I tailor my teaching to the student's learning style—whether they prefer diagrams, active recall, step-by-step explanations, or past paper practice. I focus on building confidence alongside knowledge, using exam-style questions to develop not just understanding but technique. I also encourage students to ask questions freely and think critically, creating a supportive and motivating environment. I have previous experience tutoring GCSE students in science, and as a current medical student, I understand the demands of exam preparation and how to study effectively.
