About Sulaiman
I’m a dedicated and approachable Maths tutor with over 250 hours of experience working with students from primary level through to A-level. I studied at the University of St Andrews (ranked #1 in the UK for three consecutive years) and am now completing a Master’s in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Queen Mary University of London. I achieved 91% in A-level Maths and have a strong academic foundation that includes Further Maths content through university-level modules.
My teaching style is structured, supportive, and adaptive — I focus on building confidence, deep understanding, and strong exam technique. I break down complex ideas into manageable steps and tailor each lesson to the student’s pace and goals. Whether a student needs to catch up, stretch beyond the syllabus, or fast-track an exam, I aim to make Maths clear, engaging, and genuinely rewarding.

Hi! I usually teach via Google Meet, where I share my screen to work through problems step by step. This setup allows students to see both the questions and my full working in real time, which makes the lesson feel interactive and close to an in-person experience. I focus primarily on past paper questions and exam-style problems rather than textbook exercises, as I find this helps students become exam-ready early on and builds confidence in applying methods.
I tailor each session to the student’s pace and goals, whether that’s building core understanding, tackling advanced topics, or fast-tracking exam preparation. My rate is £40/hour, and I’m flexible with both timing and lesson length, depending on what works best for the student.
